“At Ikeja Electric, we are all here because of our customers. We listen to them and always try our best to meet up with their demands. One of the ways to show this is this App we launched today.
“The App, Singleview, is a new solution to improve transparency to our customers on billing, which has been an issue.”
The launching of SingleView, she continued, “comes at the right time because of the recent increase in tariff.”
“The idea came about a year ago. We have been working on the solution for the last one year,” she told Platforms Africa.
“A lot of customers have been saying that they do not know what they are paying for. This is the time that transparency about their billing will be made more real.”
Corroborating Soetan’s view, the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Ugochukwu Obi-Chukwu, maintained that the App is to, among others, “improve our customer experience. It is to manage individual and multiple accounts, track energy consumption and make it easy for customers to follow up their billing in a transparent way.
Asked about incentives for customers who make payment on time, Obi-Chikwu, while providing an answer to Platforms Africa, said; “Though it is not yet time to let the cat out of the bag, we are working on Royalty Programme as incentives for customer on payment, this will be the first in the entire industry.
“As you know, Ikeja Electric is the only distribution company in Nigeria with multiple channels for customers to make payments.
On Cybersecurity, security is what we take seriously. We are very mindful of the cyber attacks and we have taken measures to ensure that this App is secured fro cybet attacks and for cyber fraudsters from taking advantage of any of our customers.
“A lot of works are put into it. A lot of works. All the meters, all the data at the backend are integrated with the frontend and this is part of what makes development of this App comes for about one year.”
